Trip around OZ, starting end Feb,5 months. Husband hates. Heat. Which way should we travel? Vic,NSW,Qsld NT, WA and across nullabor Or Reve
we will be camping in Motorhome and leaving from Melb. Do not want to run into the we season in NT
The Dry season in the Top End is usually May to October, so whether you go clockwise or not, the timing should be fine provided you take a few months to get there. I'd pick the direction based on where you most want to go. If I had my time again (having done a 6 month trip around Oz in a 4WD), I'd head for WA and spend a good chunk around the South West coast, skip lightly through the middle bit and then another good chunk in the Kimberley region - it is unlike anything else you'll see and much harder to get to again than say NSW or Qld. almost 6 years ago
yep have to agree, depending if want to get stuck up the top end during the wet season is the major factor to consider.
I had a friend traveling around and they bunked up for the wet season and loved it. but i would say normaly people try to avoid it. over 5 years ago
