    It depends on where you want to go. Australia is as big as America. May is the month before winter, at the end of Autumn - so it's a lovely time of year in most places. Cool nights and pleasant days, certainly not hot. Being Autumn, there is less rain than winter or spring. about 5 years ago

    Queensland is beautiful in May,. You can choose the north, Great Barrier Reef or the beaches ( Gold Coast ) or just about anywhere in Queensland is wonderful. about 5 years ago

    Keep in mind though that the days are also getting shorter at this time of year, since winter is coming on. If you are used to the length of the day in the northern hemisphere, you might be a little surprised at how much shorter the days suddenly are, especially if you go to areas in southern Australia... Of course, that means longer romantic evenings... about 5 years ago

    May is the best time for a holiday in tropical North Queensland. Very small chance of rain, max temp mid to high 20s. Blue skies and light breezes. about 5 years ago
