Camp sites in NSW accessible by train/public transport.
Hello,
Looking to travel Australia for a year as cheap as possible...just wondering if using campsites is a realistic/viable option. As we wouldn't have our own transport we'd be reliant on public transport...so are there many campsites that facilitate this?
Any replies much appreciated! :)

Hi, distances are all relative and Australia is a BIG place. So while trains, busses and interstate coaches are a great way to travel around, and yes there are lots of camp grounds, getting close isn't much use as they can still be a long long ways way. To really enjoy camping around the county, you need your own transport. Mind you, there are services like http://www.travellers-autobarn.com.au/ to help travellers do this. about 6 years ago
