I drove through the Kimberley in 1999. Just wondering how much would cost now - price of petrol/diesel? Camping fees? Food? A counter lunch in a Broome pub?

We have just come through Kimberley. Diesel/ petrol are around $2.26 per litre.. If you can get it, big distances. You must do lots of research before you go. Water is crucial.. Costs heaps. about 7 years ago

Wow - thanks Barb for the update. In 1999, it was $1.20/litre and we thought it was crazy prices! On that trip, we drove 28,000km around Oz and the petrol price was generally $0.80 - .90 centres/litre. about 7 years ago
