You can get an acceptable pre-packaged fried dim sim at the fish and chip shop next to New Farm park, corner Brunswick St and the park. I'm not sure about the knobbly fresher looking variety but the good Asian areas are Chinatown in Fortitude Valley (close to city) and further afield in Sunnybank. There are also some Vietnamese and possibly Chinese restaurants in West End, try Boundary St and Hardgrave Road but maybe call ahead to check possible dim sim stocks. about 8 years ago

Best place in Sunnybank Plaza shopping centre is Landmark which is in the centre of the complex. Always busy but especially on weekend opens at 11:30am. You can judge good quality by the number of locals going there. It has a side section where you can select from a assortment that has already travelled the large room . This make it easy to quickly get food onto your table as well as getting items from the passing trolleys.
The Valley has a few good places depends on who you talk to , King of Kings is good so is Chinahouse . However parking isn' t cheap in the valley whilst Sunnybank is free parking. I know my food as I am Australian Chinese and eat at these places regularly. about 8 years agoAnswered by Steve FS Australia viaAsk a Nomad iPad app

Beijing Palace in the Queen Street Mall, have to be able to walk up stairs. I think there's a discount if you go early eg 11 am. Not as crowded as Landmark. Take a bus into town. about 8 years ago
