Tullamarine is a fair way out of the city. I'd say sit tight and don't go anywhere outside of the airport. almost 6 years ago

Agree with Sarah. By the time you got to the city, it would be time to head back to the airport and go through all those checks. Have a coffee, look at the shops, buy a book......... almost 6 years ago

You *can* get a sky bus for something like 26 return - takes 20 mins into the city and 20 mins out. You arrive near the docklands and there is probably a wee walk you can do down to the yarra river and grab some food, stroll for a couple hours then head back. It is always hard as Tullamarine looks so far out but there is some convenient transport options. If not There is an Oreillys irish pub that will give you a few delicious pints as you wait :) almost 6 years ago

Buy a myki from the machine at the airport and take the 901 bus to Broadmeadows. You'll visit part of Melbourne few tourists would see. The bus runs every 15 minutes and the trip would be about 20 minutes each way. about 4 years ago
