Where do I start? The following are essential: take the tram to Glenelg and wander around the foreshore; go to the excellent City Markets; go to the Adelaide Zoo and see the Giant Pandas; wander through the beautiful Botanic Gardens; walk along the banks of the Torrens River AND, most importantly, recognise that Adelaide is so small it only takes 10-15 minutes to get to the edge of the city. The Adelaide Hills, Hahndorf, the Monarto Zoo, McLaren Vale, the Barossa Valley are all within easy reach. about 10 years ago

Depends how long you are there. All that Bruce recommends but if you want adventure you can go to Port Lincoln & dive with Great White Sharks. You can also visit Kangaroo Island form Adelaide but best ot do an overnight stay about 10 years ago

Just use Adelaide as a base to explore the surrounding regions. Glenelg is a great relaxing day. you must do a barossa wine tour, visit the victor harbour, kangaroo island and if you have time, make your way to the Eyre Peninsula. over 9 years ago
