Where do I start? The following are essential: take the tram to Glenelg and wander around the foreshore; go to the excellent City Markets; go to the Adelaide Zoo and see the Giant Pandas; wander through the beautiful Botanic Gardens; walk along the banks of the Torrens River AND, most importantly, recognise that Adelaide is so small it only takes 10-15 minutes to get to the edge of the city. The Adelaide Hills, Hahndorf, the Monarto Zoo, McLaren Vale, the Barossa Valley are all within easy reach. over 9 years ago

Depends how long you are there. All that Bruce recommends but if you want adventure you can go to Port Lincoln & dive with Great White Sharks. You can also visit Kangaroo Island form Adelaide but best ot do an overnight stay over 9 years ago

Just use Adelaide as a base to explore the surrounding regions. Glenelg is a great relaxing day. you must do a barossa wine tour, visit the victor harbour, kangaroo island and if you have time, make your way to the Eyre Peninsula. about 9 years ago
