How old do you have to be to rent and drive a car in Australia? Is the age limit different from renting (and driving) a campervan?

Most Car companies have a limit of 21 however between 21-25 you will pay a higher insurance rate. Campervans are pretty much the same depending on the size. If you are just renting a small camper (say tarago/minibus size) then wont be much more but if its a massive family campervan then you would be looking at additional costs depending on your age! about 8 years ago

Car hire companies normally require renters and their additional drivers to be over 21 and hold a full driver's license.
If you don't fit this criteria, some smaller car hire companies might be able to help you out. You can find out if they do by reading their Terms and Conditions before booking.
Remember, being under 25 will affect the cost of your insurance premium.
It's a similar story for campervan hire, where 21 is again the age minimum.
