    (ahhh, my old home town!) get the ferry from Perth (rather than Fremantle) so you get a 'free' river cruise too. You'll see a slightly different side of the city from the water.
    Head straight to the bicycle hire shop on Rotto, then the bakery for some picnic supplies then head out to The Basin for white sand and clear blue water. Take a snorkel and see if you can spot any of the lobsters hiding on the reef. If you're feeling energetic, ride out to the lighthouse - but it's a long way. You can always refresh yourself with a 'middy' at the hotel while you wait for your return ferry. over 5 years ago

    Make sure you take a Flynet, to wear on your head. The flies are atrocious, worst place in all Australia. I speak from experience, as we spent 18mth travelling around the continent/island. If you are currently in Perth, then the flies may not be too bad, as it is Winter, however, I would still be prepared, though you can buy the nets at the store on the island. Enjoy. over 5 years ago
