
can i take a years worth of prescribed medication to austrailia
need to take a years worth of free prescribed medication is this possible to take that amount of pills for two of my illnesses?

You'll need a note from your GP (explaining what they are / what they are for) to show at Australian customs with your medication. over 8 years ago

Get your GP to make out the prescriptions before you leave and then you can get them at any pharmacy here. Alternatively, have your GP write a letter and present it at any clinic then an Australian GP will write the prescription for you. It will probably be heaps cheaper here. We have an excellent medical fund that is open to all. over 8 years ago

My medication here is free so I don't want to pay for it if I can get it for free would customs let me bring it through? over 8 years ago

Depends on what the medications are and if they fall into certain categories.If they do you're allowed a maximum of 3 months worth. Best to check with the Australian high commission (embassy) before you leave. over 8 years ago
