    Hi Alicia,
    It takes about 18- 20 hours non stop to do the drive, but is best spent taking a couple of days to have a look around on the way down, especially Mataranka springs , Katherine Gorge etc.

    Hi Alicia,
    I lived in Alice Springs for 18 months and I now live in Darwin. The distance is around 1500 klms and the speed limit the whole way is 130km/ph - therefore to drive non stop it is about 13 or so hours.
    18-20 hours is how long it would take to drive from Darwin to Marla in South Australia non stop. almost 11 years ago

    It takes 13.5 hours flat.Don,t believe in people who don,t know what they are talking about.You may take 18 to 20 hours,if you take a side tour or else it is time to change the car or the driver. over 8 years ago
