Looking for somewhere within 4 - 6 hours of Sydney and NOT busy at Easter, preferably a National Park. Anyone?

    Go camping on Long Plain in the Snowy Mountains. Heaps of camp sites, bush walks, streams and rivers to explore and fish. Magnificent scenery, wild brumbies, beautiful parrots, crazy lyrebirds and a chance to meet a few bushines on horseback - dozens ofthey tend to head to the Plain over Easter. over 10 years ago

    Vaughn S[[rings near Castlemain is a great spot beside the River Campaspie. You can have a camp fire and there are lovely bush walks etc.
    Lakes Entrance on the Gippsland Lakes is always great value for families. They have two council parks near the surf and lots of private parks ranging from beachside to bush. So much to do and all the conveniences are there. about 9 years ago
