Leaving for Sydney, Australia jan-march. In need off organic store or vegetarian resturant. Any tips??
Hi Lise, there's a few organic stores in and around the Sydney CBD - try Iku Wholefood in the CBD (there's a few locations) or Wholefoods House in Waterloo or Woollahra. As for vegetarian restaurants, there's no shortage of them around! Have a look here for starters - http://www.happycow.net/australia/new_south_wales/sydney/ - otherwise inner city suburbs like Newtown, Glebe and Surry Hills will all have a good selection. Two of my favourite vegetarian restaurants in Sydney are
- Harvest in Rozelle
- Lauries in Bondi
I agree with Michelle, Iku are another favourite (lots of them around Sydney including Paddington, Glebe, CBD).
Crown Street Surry Hills also has some great little vegetarian cafes. As we are so close to Asia, we also have some great asian restaurants that will offer vegetarian options. (as do most places) about 6 years ago
Newtown has a couple of Vietnamese-Vegetarian cafes too, as well as lots of good boutique shopping and bars. http://www.eatability.com.au/ is a good site to search for vegetarian places.
But generally if you get stuck any cafe/restaurant will have vege dishes you can eat. about 6 years agoAnswered by Karah5 via WorldNomads.com
Newtown has everything vegetarian you could ever wish for. Pretty much every restuarant and cafe will cater for vegetarians/vegans and several organic stores such as Dr.Earth.
Lots of Thai, Vietnamese, Italian, pizza, Indian etc great nightlife as well. about 6 years ago
