Base or YHA seem to be quiet popular, YHA is mean to have a rooftop pool too ;) about 11 years ago

I'm staying at the new Sydney Harbour YHA and while definitely not "bohemian" - the archeological dig below, great rooftop terrace (with opera house views) and laidback vibe make it one of the most unique in Sydney. about 11 years ago

Hey - forget YHA for a start! They are lovely hostels but to be honest they have libraries - should give you a clue as to what kind of atmosphere you get! If you are after a cool place to stay check out www.westendbackpackers.com fantastic hostel with free daily activities - beach bbq, Bondi to Coogee beach walk, trivia nights and loads more stuff. And if you like bohemian and plan to travel up the coast check out www.nomadshostels.com and look for The Arts Factory - if there isn't someone hangin out playing the didgeridoo, having a yoga session or jammin in a hammock then it's not a normal day for them! about 11 years ago

I back up the Westend Backpackers in Sydney. Great and central location, plus they organise some great activities, especially the Bondi to Coogee walk. I recommend you stay with them! about 11 years ago
