Hello, I'm planning to go to South East Asia for two months (or a week or two longer if needed) starting in March. I have a few things that I have in mind, but i'm not sure what the best route to take would be. These are my musts:
I must be in Thailand for April 3rd Full Moon Party (preferred time March 25th-April 5th)
I must travel to Bali, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam (and of course Thailand as mentioned)
I must fly somewhere in South East Asia at the beginning of March
Where should I start and how should I traverse SEA? Should I start at the bottom in Bali? Should I start in Laos and Work my way to Cambodia and then to Thailand?
Any suggestions are appreciated thanks.
If our experiences help at all, we just spent a little under two months in both Thailand and Cambodia.
You're not going to like hearing this, but we felt that even with three to four weeks in each country we just barely scratched the surface!
However, we were mostly making it up as we went, and we met many other travellers who were much more organised than us and many of the, were doing the northern thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia trail.
Places we loved were Chiang Mai and Siem Reap. Places we wished we had made it to after speaking others: Chiang Rai & Pai, Laos, some smaller towns in Cambodia. over 3 years ago
