Depends on the time of year of course, but in addition to BA (where I liked staying in San Tolma (sp?)) I thought Barolocha in the Lake region was awesome over 7 years ago

I recomend specially Mendoza-Parque de Cafayate-Jujuy its a large trip on the north of argentina, and its easy to do. Many natural parks beautiful, like the Ishigualasto in San Juan, pure desert ! over 7 years ago

If you like history and architecture the fifteenth and sixteenth century Jesuit world heritage sites in and around Cordoba are great. Don't miss the sleepy sites north of the city. about 7 years ago

I loved Cordoba and the outlying villages (Cosquin, la cumbre). Make sure to check out Alta Gracia, an hour microbus ride out of Cordoba, childhood home of Che Guevara and a lovely town. Mendoza is gorgeous, one of fave places (and BA of course!) If you rent a car Barreal is a gem of a village north of Mendoza nestled in a valley with stunning views of the Andes and lots of outdoor things to do. Hard to get to because the more direct road was closed so had to go way north then backtrack south.
Not been to Salta, but it's next on my list for my trip back to Argentina. about 7 years ago

5 days in BA, take a ferry called Buquebus and visit colonia Uruguay, one day its enough, if its hot go to mar del plata 1 day and Rosário 2 days... If its cold you can choose..patagônia with tierra del fuego or go to bariloche. about 7 years ago
