There are a lot of old churches and historical buildings around the centre of Beunos Aires and I usually don`t find them all that interesting but some are spectacular and well worth the look . There is a tourist bus service that takes in a lot of the sights and they run in a loop , so you can get on and off where ever and when ever you like . I don`t know if it is football season at the moment , but watching a game live at the stadium is not to be missed . The atmosphere is great and the locals are very passionate about their national game . Get a cheap seat with the locals if you are game . The subway system is pretty good and I just get on one train and get off anywhere and look around . The restuarants are very good but I hope you like meat , as there is a lot to be had in most places and not much else . Most people do not eat until late , 8 or 9 oclock and even later on the weekends . Have fun almost 10 years ago

BA is a place where you can just explore. The main historical attraction is the Recoleta Cemetary, where there's a tomb to Eva Peron. Apart from that, it is just fun to wander. You must visit San Telmo and see some street tango, shopping and food at Palermo and Recoleta and for something a little more touristy, but still fun - go for a stroll along the Port (Puerto Madero).

There are plenty of hotels and apartments all over, if you want to be central, you can stay in the business district (Microcentro), otherwise, to be a bit out of the main stretch, stay in Recoleta or Palermo. Make sure you visit La Boca also

There are so many places to eat, you will not go wanting. If you're a meat eater (and I recommend becomking one before you arrive there), you must try Siga La Vaca at Puerto Madero, it's a meat lover's paradise. You can always grab some empanadas for an easy snack. Here are some other suggestions:

The football season is on when you are there, if you can, you must get to a game, I agree with spike69, the atmosphere is amazing. The schedule is here:

You can go to Boca stadium to see Boca Juniors play (Maradonna's first club) or to River Plate stadium, which is a little out of BA itself

Trust me, after 5 days, you won't want to leave, the city has a hold on you almost as soon as you get there.

    Head out to Palermo Viejo.
More than enough there to fill a few spare days.

I went to Mendoza and I liked it very much, is not a big city but people is kind and it has a night life. There are some nice clubs and pubs, and a lot of cheap restaurants, you can dance tango in some main streets. I stayed in a hostel, there are many hostels and i just rememeber one hotel in front of the principal plaza. There are like four plazas, and a very big park with a hill, in the top of the hill there's a monument, you can take a tour to go to the park in the principal plaza. Around Mendoza there're vineyards and wineries, in some places they give snacks so you can taste argentine wines, oils and marmalade, and you can go to them by bike.
Also you can go to river and lakes and practice some sports like boarding...
Mendoza is a very nice place and you're going to find a lot of foreigners from all the world, enjoy your trip. over 9 years ago
