I travel to different countries and different cities and I want to collect something that's not that expensive and heavy (to transport). Right now, i collect the following:
1. Newspaper - local paper dated when I arrive
2. Starbucks Country and City Mug - but not all countries have Starbucks
3. Coke in Can - available in most countries and features different languages.

Any other suggestions?

Postage stamps. They's inexpensive, easy to put on a wall or in an album, and come in many themes. You can probably find some that represent the things you did on vacation there. Ask for the philatelic office, where they keep more stamps. Thailand in particular has wonder stamps for collectors! almost 7 years ago
