Depends what sort of things you like. The city of Palma is lovely with fab bars, shops and restaurants. The Cathedral is pretty stunning too. If you like caves the caves of Drach, by Porto Cristo, are lovely. For views, the roads to Valdemossa (where George Sands and Chopin lived) and Vap de Formentor are both scenic, but quite twisty. The train ride from Palma to Soller is good fun and also has good views and you can the. Get a tram to Port de Soller. The market at Sineu is interesting and has livestock and local produce as well as the usual tourist stuff. Both Port Soller and Port de Pollenca have nice family beaches, and the Calvalli steps in Pollensa are worth the trek for the view at the top. about 9 years ago

Agree with Mandib. I would recommend renting a car, it was very easy to get around the island. We stayed in Palma but we would have been happier staying elsewhere on the island. Palma is a city and was not as beautiful and serene as other parts. We travelled with kids and we were there over a long weekend, perhaps that didn't help. If you take the train to soller, which we all enjoyed, have lunch at Lua's. It was a delicious meal. I highly recommend the caves as well. Have fun. about 9 years ago
