    If the airline cancels your flight they're obliged to find you an alternative flight (either with them or another airline). It might not suit your travel plans and be a bit inconvenient - but ask the airline to compensate you. over 9 years ago

    Depends on the airline. They are obliged to put you on another flight or refund your money but they are NOT obliged to put you on an another airline. Budget airlines are the most problematic. Most travel insurance these days doesn't cover airline cancellations and associated costs, such as prepaid accommation. They only cover trip cancellation if you get sick or for other reasons. The travel insurance budget airlines offer when you buy the ticket is the same. over 9 years ago
