I'm flying from Spain to Australia via Rome and Taiwan on a one-way ticket. I don't require travel insurance in Australia at this stage as I have access to medical coverage through a reciprocal health agreement. I am, however, still technically a resident of Spain.

So, my question is:

Can I put the date of arrival in Australia as my "return date" even though I have no intention of returning to Spain for the next 6 months and don't hold a return flight?

I know in the past you were able to extend your coverage while away so I'm assuming this is fine? Just looking for confirmation.

Thanks in advance!
