I am going away from 15th - 30th April this year, any recommendations on where to go?

Originally fancied Israel but heard it was very expensive...

I've already been to:
Thailand (potentially keen to return)

What about Japan? Plenty to see and do, and it's spring, so there should be some pretty nice cherry blossoms to look at! over 1 year ago

I think that some places as Brazil, Cuba, or some place with coasts is a very good one to enjoy the wonder of nature and amazing events. Spring is to enjoy a warm fresh air... over 1 year ago

    How about Portugal?
A small country but a real pearl for travelers.
It has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, historical cities unesco world heritage, fantastic monuments that cross the whole history of man, an unique natural beauty, a rich and delicious gastronomy, and some of the best wines in the world. And all this at very affordable prices. And if you like, Me, as a portuguese who knows my country very well, can help to discover it.
    Come to Portugal.

Have a look at the European southern Mediterranean, places like Kos in Greece, southern Spain, Cyprus, Malta, Sicily. Portugal too. They should be warm enough (about 21°C max) to sunbathe/swim in the sea and with much fewer crowds than the busy summer months. Be warned though to do your research as shops/restaurants will be shut in some places as it's the shoulder season. over 1 year ago

I second southern Spain- truly the perfect time to go: not deathly hot or swarming with hoards of tourists. It is a deeply magical and romantic place full of anything you fancy- food or hiking or beaches or hilltop towns- plus several festivals!

I recommend Costa del Sol- Frigiliana, Nerja, Malaga, and then Granada, Córdoba, Ronda and Seville :) over 1 year ago

I third southern Spain- the Pueblos Blancos region is fantastic but beware you're in the mountains and it can get chilly at night.

We've also had super weather in Morocco in April. But we've had bad luck in central and eastern Europe during April.

Also, SEA is sweltering in April - you'll want a place with A/C. over 1 year ago

What's the best time of year? IME, it's fall, so where is it fall in April? Look to the southern hemisphere, and decide where you'd most like to go from among those choices. over 1 year ago
