Since I travel a lot and already have a backpack to lug around, I'm limited to shoulder or sling. Currently I had a sling from Lowe-pro ... but the gear inside has a tendency to fall out too easily so on the last trip I actually used a Crumpler laptop bag with more success, although neither were ideal.

I was just looking for peoples personal recommendations and suggestions. about 10 years ago

Going for the Halliburton Camera Case (http://www.monsterbags.com/zero-halliburton.html) could be an ideal solution for you. It is made of heat-tempered, aircraft quality aluminum and has customizable foam in the interior. It is best suited to protect your equipment. A friend of mine uses it for his Nikon body. I suggest you check out the added functionalities of the US manufactured camera case at the Monsterbags online store. almost 9 years ago
