Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey located on the north western coast. The city enjoys a varied climate with sunny summers, snowy winters and plenty of humidity throughout the year. Spring and autumn are the most popular times to visit, but winter is also popular.
January & February are one of the coolest months to visit Istanbul, with temperatures reaching a chilly 8°C during the day and dropping to 3°C after dark. It’s highly likely that you’ll experience rain during your stay, so be sure to wrap up warm and bring some waterproofs with you.
