My luggage has a side pocket and the zipper cannot be locked by a luggage lock because it only has one slider. I am afraid someone might stuff something illegal in that pocket while it is checked in. How can I secure that pocket?

Try affixing a couple of those butterfly closure bandages (the small ones that are paper-like) across the zip. If they're broken or missing when you see your bag on the carousel, call over an official and tell them you suspect your bag may have been tampered with. It'll mean a thorough search and a bit of time with customs, but at least you won't get set-up.
Alternatively, leave it un-zipped and open. If it's zipped up when you see it next call over the officials. over 5 years ago
