anyone used tours4fun.com before it seems reasonably priced for where you go but is it any good?? is there anymore tour companies? ive looked at trek america but seems little expensive. thanks any help appreciated.

    Having lived in both ny and la each for more than 30 years, I would say that you will do better on your own than with a tour. LA is just too big to tour. Take full-day trips to Disneyland, universal studios, Venice beach, beverly hills, as the highlights. In NY get a good street map and walk! I would do statue of liberty and lower manhattan in one day, with high line park and meat packing district if you still have time. Another day for times square and fifth avenue shopping. Another day for the natural history and metropolitan museums. Check for half-price tix for off broadway shows at night. Beware statue of liberty and empire state bldgs have very long lines and could take a full day if you're not on line first thing in the morning over 8 years ago

    • thanks, Im in LA for 7 days so thought i could do Las Vegas, and Grand Canyon too is it cheaper to hire a car to visit?? than to do a tour. yeah guessed walking would be best for new york - and cheaper!! is niagara worth a look?? whats the best way to do that? thanks Laura over 8 years ago
