is there a cooling off period

Hi Kate If you are referring to a cooling off period within WorldNomads insurance policies, then the answer is yes! There is a cooling off period after purchase. Each underwriter has slightly different rules, so please have a read of the policy wording relevant to your country of permanent residence: http://www.worldnomads.com/travel-insurance/prices-and-benefits.aspx If you have any more questions about insurance feel feel to shoot them through to our customer service team who are more than happy to help! http://www.worldnomads.com/contactus.aspx Cheers, Yael WorldNomads.com almost 8 years ago

Importance of the residence to buy a travel insurance.

Hi JJ, Yael from WorldNomads.com here. Your country of permanent residence is the country where you have your permanent home or principal establishment and to where, whenever you are absent, you intend to return. This is the country you may be repatriated back to if you are unfit to continue your trip or if you require long term medical care after a medical emergency while travelling. Depending on whether this is Spain or Oman will determine which country you will enter when purchasing a policy. For more information on country of residence, please see: https://helpdesk.worldnomads.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2403556-travel-insurance-what-is-my-country-of-residence-?b_id=12919 If you chose to nominate Spain, please know that you can purchase a policy if you are already outside your country of residence. Please see the article: https://helpdesk.worldnomads.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2403558-can-i-buy-a-travel-insurance-policy-if-i-m-already-overseas-?b_id=12919 for further information. hello, how long a Travel insurance with world nomads lasts? do they provide it for 1 year or just for a single trip? thank you

Hi Massimo, Yael from Worldnomads.com here. World Nomads only provide single trip coverage, but you can select the specific duration that you require - so if you want to travel for an entire year, then you can purchase coverage for that length of time! As Heidi has mentioned above, simply enter in your dates of travel and destinations on our website www.worldnomads.com to receive a quote. You can also buy more cover when you are travelling if you decide to stay longer. We don't offer Annual Multi Trip style policies, where you can take multiple holidays under the one insurance policy. Instead, you would need to purchase separate policies for each trip as required. I suggest that you contact our customer services team if you have any specific questions about what's covered and not covered - you can reach them here: https://www.worldnomads.com/contact-us. can I get diving equipment insured whilst travelling

Hi Kathy, it's Yael from WorldNomads.com here! In order to be able to properly answer your WorldNomads travel insurance question it would be best for you to send an enquiry through to our Customer Service Team at: http://worldnomads.com/contactus.aspx The reason for this is because depending on your country of permanent residence there are slightly different rules and amounts of coverage for additional sporting and camera equipment. It may not be possible for you to insure the full value 14K of your camera equipment (as many of the luggage limits are lower than this), so you might like to check out to see if there are some other policies which can just cover your additional equipment. I live in Korea but I am British. Should my country of residence be Britain or Korea? Sorry it's a stupid question but i'm stupid!

Hi there, Yael from WorldNomads.com here! In deciding whether to select South Korea of Britain you should choose the country of residence where you have access to permanent medical care and where you'd be repatriated to if necessary. You must also be legally defined as a permanent resident (not temporary) of that country and have a residential address that you can refer to within that country. You can review who can buy the insurance within the terms and conditions or full description of cover (policy wording) - each one is different and you can review this here: http://www.worldnomads.com/travel-insurance/prices-and-benefits.aspx In general, if you are a permanent resident or citizen of a country, then you can buy our insurance, even if you are travelling in another country. If you have further questions please feel free to send through an email to our customer service team: http://worldnomads.com/contactus.aspx Happy travels! over 7 years ago
