I have 2 days in LA - any recommondations on what to do in my limited time?

No visit to LA is really complete without a visit to Hollywood. It's a touch trashy and touristy but still fun to see. Santa monica and the pier are also well worth seeing. Universal studios is fun if you enjoy theme parks but don't feel like trekking to Disneyland (my all time favourite) almost 10 years ago

Is there anywhere in town that has many cool hidden away clothes shops?

Good luck, agree with above, can't beat Melbourne for shopping. You could try Chinatown though, there are sometimes some pleasant surprises in some of the shopping malls off dixon st. almost 10 years ago

Am planning a trip to LA. Have about a week. Any suggestions as to places around LA worth visiting?

You could always try Knotts Berry Farm if you're looking for theme parks or you could perhaps do a studio tour at Warner Bros (http://www2.warnerbros.com/vipstudiotour/); otherwise its around 100 miles to San Diego where you could look at Sea World, San Diego Zoo and the Old Town San Diego Historic Park. almost 10 years ago

Good place to go Kayaking outside of Sydney?

Myall lakes up on the north coast is a good spot to go kayaking, especially if you want to camp as well as there are numerous camping grounds that are within easy day (kayaking) trips of each other. almost 10 years ago

Is there anywhere pleasant to hang out in the CBD on the 24th December, overnight?

Where I live (although admittedly a little way out of the city) Christmas Eve is one of the biggest nights at the local pub where everyone goes out for a drink and a celebrate. It's probably best to try your luck going to a pub in the city rather than staying at the airport, and its only a short train ride. There are bound to be food places open all night on Oxford Street or in Kings Cross. almost 10 years ago

Does "mountaineering" coverage cover me trekking in Nepal at 18000 feet?

Hi Kathryn, Yael from WorldNomads.com here! It's a bit tricky to answer your question without more details (such as your country of permanent residence). This is because we have different underwriters for certain countries, which means that there are different policy wordings and definitions. If you wanted to direct this enquiry (as well as any other insurance related questions) to our Customer Service team they will be happy to help you! You can find the enquiry form here: http://worldnomads.com/contactus.aspx almost 9 years ago
