What are some good things to do/see in Ho Chi Minh City?

It might seem like a tourist thing to do, but the Ho Chi Minh War Museum is still quite amazing - It's located at 28 Vo Van Tan, in District 3. Also agree with Simon, the market in Cantho is stunning. I went there first in 2002 and then last year, the changes are amazing, such a vibrant city, warm and friendly locals, can't wait to go back. about 9 years ago

How can you travel the world and be paid for a service, in each country you visit?

In my understanding there are no great short cuts outside ensuring that you contact tourism boards, adventure travel companies before you land and pitch ideas for short format stuff. One distribution channel to pitch to them is branded content on airlines. You could go out and shoot 'city trips' ( things to do when you've only got a day etc) and brand it with the company you're shooting for. You then look to push this to airlines as license free 'filler /destination content'. You can use a company like http://www.audienceintheair.com to help push it to airlines. They'll generally charge the company you shot the video for to distribute, you get paid by the company for shooting it, they get massive exposure on airlines, as well as being able to leverage the content online (web. social media etc) almost 10 years ago

What should I do on Christmas in Sydney without any family?

It's hard to miss chilling down at Bronte beach for a morning swim / coffee / breakfast, walk across to Bondi, have a lunch at Bondi icebergs or blow a stack of cash and go to the Sofitel for their Christmas brunch - http://ow.ly/MVrI. i used to do this in Singapore at the Hyatt....very good, long lazy, decadent. After that ferry across to Watsons Bay for a few sun soaked beers, roll back onto the ferry and head back into Surry Hills / Paddington where you'll find any number of pubs to cheer on......oh, unless you don't like food or drinking, which in that case, ignore this post :) almost 10 years ago
