Where are the best places to eat in Singapore?

My favourite place is to wander down in the city to Lau Pau Sat Food Market. It's situated on Shenton Way. It's a big food hall with all sorts of Singaporean, Malaysian, Thai food. You've got to try the following - Stingray ( trust me, it's the bomb), Chilli Crab, Satay and that should do you Ian. Wash it all down with a Heineken, not Tiger Beer, it'll give you a stinking hangover !!!! about 9 years ago

Where's the best fish and chip shop in Sydney...and one that does real chips as opposed to frozen ones.

I do like the fish & chips down at Bronte Chipper, but still just like to head down to the Fish Markets in Pyrmont and pick my own fillet, cooked on site. about 9 years ago

Anyone know some good eco-tourism treks from Savannahkhet City?

I haven't traveled there....yet, but a friend said they went through - www.ecotourismlaos.com/activities/act_trekking.htm - as a starting point. Some options around Savannakeht - Dong Na Tad Forest Treks & Homestays - http://www.ecotourismlaos.com/activities/dongnatan_trk.htm - Trekking in Dong Phou Vieng NPA - http://www.ecotourismlaos.com/activities/dongphouvieng_trk.htm - Phou Xang Hae 5-Day Trek - http://www.ecotourismlaos.com/activities/puxanghae_trk.htm I'm not sure if they work out of this region, but I've had experience with http://www.buffalotours.com in the past working on a documentary and they're a top company with an excellent approach to responsible tourism. One worth contacting as part of your research. Cheers about 9 years ago

What are the buses and public transport like in Auckand?

Rob, Like most cities they tend to have their good and bad days. I was there a couple of years ago and had a pretty easy experience getting around on buses. The train network is not as large as other major cities in the world, so worth checking out their public transport site - http://www.maxx.co.nz/ - if you're looking for longer trips. What is the best way to get from Arusha to see Lake Manyara?

I've been told you can get relatively cheap flights from Arusha Airport into Lake Manyara - they fly out twice daily and take about 25mins, I've seen fares for around USD$75-90. Check out - http://www.coastal.cc - as one option. I had a look to see if there were any car rentals, apparently most can be organised locally or through hotels in Arusha. Cheers about 9 years ago

Are there cheap flights between Hong Kong And Beijing?

Hi Jessica, Dragon Air (http://www.dragonair.com) is subsidiary of Cathy Pacific and they fly all over Asia. There are also a raft of online flight retailers worth looking at in the region such as - http://www.zuji.com.hk - http://www.chanbrothers.com - http://www.flychina.com - http://www.bookchinaonline.com Just a matter of doing your research online for the best fare. Good luck! about 9 years ago

What are some interesting places to visit around Palm Springs?

Outside of the numerous spas, some ideas that might interest you. There's the San Jacinto Mountains with the whole Coachella Valley meant to be excellent for hiking, mountain biking etc. You can go on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway which takes you to the top of the valley which is apparently amazing, some 8,000 foot up ! A friend of mine did it last year and said it was awesome. about 9 years ago
