What is the best way to get from Arusha to see Lake Manyara?

I've been told you can get relatively cheap flights from Arusha Airport into Lake Manyara - they fly out twice daily and take about 25mins, I've seen fares for around USD$75-90. Check out - http://www.coastal.cc - as one option. I had a look to see if there were any car rentals, apparently most can be organised locally or through hotels in Arusha. Cheers over 10 years ago

What are the buses and public transport like in Auckand?

Rob, Like most cities they tend to have their good and bad days. I was there a couple of years ago and had a pretty easy experience getting around on buses. The train network is not as large as other major cities in the world, so worth checking out their public transport site - http://www.maxx.co.nz/ - if you're looking for longer trips. Brunch spots in New York City?

Was just there last week. A couple of places that I was impressed with - Taka Taka - Its a Mexican Japanese Sushi train ( no seriously!) and it works. Fantastic food and worth a visit - http://www.facebook.com/TakaTakaUS - Bathalzar - A wine bar style restaurant, but great seafood, great ambiance and just made you feel that 'Shit...Im in New York!!' feeling. - http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/3/21734/restaurant/Soho/Balthazar-New-York - Oyster Bar at Grand Central station - A must! It's just an amazing place, rich history, give the chowder a spin ( just cream and seafood...yum!) - www.oysterbarny.com/ about 9 years ago

What would I need to know about volunteering in a cambodian orphanage?

Where to start Catherine ! What's probably most important is that you're working with a reputable organisation, whose objectives are sound and sustainable. There are a number of organisations who work there, but can I suggest that you contact - http://pepyride.org/support/volunteer-opportunities - (@pepytours). I know this team personally and they'll point you firmly in the right direction. They'll help you better understand the landscape and how you can make a real difference. almost 10 years ago

When's the best time to travel to New Zealand?

All year round! Like Australia it is a country for all seasons. The South Island around Queenstown is stunning in winter, but there are few places like the Bay of Islands in summer. over 9 years ago
