What is the best place to stay in Ubud near the Monkey Forest?

If you can get a booking, try Alam Shanti. Delightful but they are justifiably booked out months in advance: http://www.alamindahbali.com/alam_shanti.htm or see their Trip Advisor 5 star rating http://www.tripadvisor.com.au/Hotel_Review-g297701-d587052-Reviews-Alam_Shanti-Ubud_Bali.html about 6 years ago

Where is the best place in Sydney to buy foreign currency?

Here's a tip for Australians heading overseas this Christmas - American Express has a special Christmas deal on foreign exchange as long as you are changing more than $1000. The rates here in Sydney (within the main brand of Westpac on George Street) for Japanese Yen were significantly better than any other foreign exchange desk we tried. over 6 years ago

What I should we NOT miss in Bangkok in 2 full days?

Hi Elsa. I must admit Bangkok overwhelmed my friends & I & we probably did not do it justice. If I could do it again I would do A LOT more research before I left. The locals speak very little english so be prepared. We rode the sky train around the city, that's a must to understand how the city really works, & visited the Grand Palace which was gorgeous - do that one on your own though & not in a tour. We also heard very good things about the Tiger Temple outside of Bangkok but couldn't make it there. I suggest you look it up & book at home. A friend of mine went & her photos look AMAZING! All the best for your trip. about 7 years ago
