    tours in Greece

Hello, I do not have information for tour companies in Greece but here in Turkey, we have cruise lines and packages that include island tours. Some longer ones do include Athens and some other cities along with the islands tours. Cruises can be a different experience. You can take a look to + http://www.etstur.com/Etstur-Gemisi-Vizesiz-Yunan-Adalari-Turlari (unfortunately in Turkish but you can use Google Translate). + http://www.prontotour.com/Yurtdisi-Turlar (this is the one of main and biggest tour companies in Turkey -- you still need to use Google Translate). Let me know if you need any help. sas over 6 years ago

What is the best way to have phone access in Turkey?

I would suggest you to buy a cell phone and then buy international packages. You can check - Vodafone (www.vodafone.com.tr), - Turkcell (www.turkcell.com.tr) and - Avea (www.avea.com.tr) as GSM providers. These websites are all in Turkish. But you can find shops of them in every city and you can consult represantatives in these shops. Also, I would suggest to check a Turk Telekom shop for internationals calls. If you can have a landline (Turk Telekom - sole provider), that would be the most inexpensive calls for you. Let me know if you would like to check me what you found. over 6 years ago

Accommodation, student residence in Ankara.. How much can it cost... Should be near the metu...

This depends on your preference. Do you want to rent a flat? Or need a residence type accommodation? METU has good dormitories. This must be your first option. Secondly, you can rent a flat at 100. YIL. 100. YIL is next to METU just at its back gate. Around 100. YIL, you can rent flats at Cigdem, Karakusunlar, Cukurambar (expensive). The best transportation is from 100. YIL since it is 10 minutes walking to the dorm district of METU. Also as an alternative, you can find students looking for flatmates. These ads generally on the ad boards of the dormitories. Ankara, but specifically around METU is a bit expensive in terms of rent. A flat will cost you min. around $500. You can contact me for specific details and questions. I am living in Ankara and also am a graduate of METU. about 7 years ago

What should I see in Madrid

Here is an answer I gave for another question here asked about Madrid: Have a nice journey, sas Ref: http://travellr.com/questions/spain/18203/any-tips-for-spain-i-will-be-going-to-madrid-and-barcelona-for-about-9-days-then-paris-for-2-suggested-places-or-activies ****** We stayed 6 days in Madrid for my wife's workshop in the first week of April. I was free all the days and had the chance to plan our daily trips on myself. Here are my suggestions (not in importance order): . Santiago Bernabeu Stadium . Plaza de Espana . Temple of Debod (sunset) . Sabatini Gardens . Plaza de Oriente . Plaza San Miguel . Plaza Mayor (have a drink and see the interesting costumed people) . Eat churros in San Gines (suggested and one of the best churros) [Chocolateria San Gines] . Puerta del Sol (bear icon + zero point) . Calle Carmen Street . Gran Via (walk on this nice boulevard) . Have frozen yogurt in the shop that is opposite of Plaza de Espana&Gran Via . Plaza de Cibeles . Puerta del Alcala . Park del Retiro . See Colomb statue next Colon station . Have a walk in Paseo del Prado . Prado Museum . Reina Museum (+see the top of the building) . Have a drink and calamares in El Brillante (next to Reina Museum) . See and have a dinner in the restaurants next to Plaza Santa Ana I tried to group these places so that you can walk from one to another. But I suggest you to check these places on Google Maps. If you have a problem to find them, let me know and I can send you the exact locations. Also I have some restaurants I can suggest if you like and interested in food and like eating :) Let me know if you need specific details about anything related to Madrid ;) Have a nice journey. sas over 6 years ago

Going on a year long student exchange program. I am 15, blonde with blue eyes, and fair. Some precautions I should take? What can I expect?

Nothing to afraid. As Elsa wrote, the precautions are the same as in any other country and city. All parents in all cities of Turkey do ask their children to return before it gets dark and to take care. This is the same for everywhere. And one thing that may come as a relief, you will see nearly all the girls in Izmir are blonde, beautiful and have blue/green eyes. Izmir is known to have the most beautufiul girls in Turkey. And also all the Aegean cost is a touristical area. There are many tourists living here as residents in Bodrum, Fethiye, Kusadasi etc. You can write if you need more details or if you have more specific questions. Hope you enjoy your stay and education here in Turkey. almost 7 years ago
