What is the best way to have phone access in Turkey?

I would suggest you to buy a cell phone and then buy international packages. You can check - Vodafone (www.vodafone.com.tr), - Turkcell (www.turkcell.com.tr) and - Avea (www.avea.com.tr) as GSM providers. These websites are all in Turkish. But you can find shops of them in every city and you can consult represantatives in these shops. Also, I would suggest to check a Turk Telekom shop for internationals calls. If you can have a landline (Turk Telekom - sole provider), that would be the most inexpensive calls for you. Let me know if you would like to check me what you found. about 6 years ago

What should I see in Madrid

Here is an answer I gave for another question here asked about Madrid: Have a nice journey, sas Ref: http://travellr.com/questions/spain/18203/any-tips-for-spain-i-will-be-going-to-madrid-and-barcelona-for-about-9-days-then-paris-for-2-suggested-places-or-activies ****** We stayed 6 days in Madrid for my wife's workshop in the first week of April. I was free all the days and had the chance to plan our daily trips on myself. Here are my suggestions (not in importance order): . Santiago Bernabeu Stadium . Plaza de Espana . Temple of Debod (sunset) . Sabatini Gardens . Plaza de Oriente . Plaza San Miguel . Plaza Mayor (have a drink and see the interesting costumed people) . Eat churros in San Gines (suggested and one of the best churros) [Chocolateria San Gines] . Puerta del Sol (bear icon + zero point) . Calle Carmen Street . Gran Via (walk on this nice boulevard) . Have frozen yogurt in the shop that is opposite of Plaza de Espana&Gran Via . Plaza de Cibeles . Puerta del Alcala . Park del Retiro . See Colomb statue next Colon station . Have a walk in Paseo del Prado . Prado Museum . Reina Museum (+see the top of the building) . Have a drink and calamares in El Brillante (next to Reina Museum) . See and have a dinner in the restaurants next to Plaza Santa Ana I tried to group these places so that you can walk from one to another. But I suggest you to check these places on Google Maps. If you have a problem to find them, let me know and I can send you the exact locations. Also I have some restaurants I can suggest if you like and interested in food and like eating :) Let me know if you need specific details about anything related to Madrid ;) Have a nice journey. sas about 6 years ago

Any tips for Spain? I will be going to Madrid and Barcelona for about 9 days then Paris for 2. Suggested places or activies?

One more important point about Madrid is TOLEDO. Toledo is only 20 minutes from Madrid by speed-trains (called RENFE). You can also buy a half day or full-day trip. Full day trips include dinner. Halfday trips are about 40-50 Euros as well as I remember. We planned our own trip. I checked all the places to see in Toledo on my smartphone using Google Maps and GPS. Then we bought our round-trip speed train tickets online from RENFE. We had a full day trip in Toledo. Saw all the places. Had a coffee. Took the city tour sigthseeing by bus. However, instead of taking the tour bus from the train station, I would suggest you to go to the center of the old town buy buses. And then take the small tour train for city outer tour. This is cheaper and more enjoyable. All the old city walking (slow) tour takes at most 2 hours :) And I absolutely suggest you to go to Toledo to see this small city - old town if you like history. Let me know if you need suggestions and details about Toledo, too. Enjoy your trip, sas about 6 years ago

    Family accommodation in Madrid

I would recommend to check booking.com for studio type accommodations. You will be able to find many studio type hotels. And some of them are also affordable and comfortable. If you were not more than 3, I would recommend San Vicente (http://www.booking.com/hotel/es/san-vicente-10.en.html). It is very close to the sightseeings and also in a good location (next to plaza de espana). They might have a larger studio than the one we stayed. Also I would recommend to check car parking facilities of the hotels you will be booking. Let me know if you have more questions or would like to learn more about Madrid. Enjoy your trip, about 6 years ago

I am looking for information on taking the train from Izmir Turkey to Ephesus. Does the train get you close, or would we need a car?

Hello, In my opinion, train would not be a good option for transportation. I would recommend taking the direct buses from Izmir Bus Station to Ephesus. That would be a better and more convenient option. Will you stay in Ephesus or are you planning a daily trip from Izmir? over 6 years ago
