where is a good place to stay in east berlin (near good nightclubs)?

The Schlaffmeile (http://www.schlafmeile.de/) is the best in town and also usually the cheapest. Its walking distance to berghain/panorama but youd usually catch the train which is only 1 or 2 stations away from it. Aside from that theres quite a few good hostels around that part of Fredrichshain. Sunflower is very good, Pegasus (i think) is also good. If you want the closest possible hostel then Ostel is probably the way to go, though I dont know how good it is. If you cant find a bed in the area you want then dont worry, the Berlin train system is rediculously huge and opporates pretty much around the clock. Anyway have fun and watch out for the doormen ar Berghain/Panorama. Theyre scary as hell and will turn you away for literally no reason at all. be quiet and act gay and you shouldn't have any problems getting in. over 10 years ago

It is wise to visit Iceland now? What prices should I expect?

Well I cant speak from experience but I have been following the news in Iceland quite a bit, if someone whos been there tells you something different to what im about to tell you, maybe take their advise. Id say yes it is a good time to go there. If your worried about the whole financial crisis associated problems there, I believe that the worst for now has come and gone. However they're holding their elections on April 25 and they're predicting some big power changes. Who knows rioting could kick off big time after the elections, but id bet that there would be a quiet period of a few months while the new government tries to fix some of the problems. Even if rioting does kick off again, so far its generally been just around the government buildings in rejkiawik and foreigners are not targeted. Anyway there are only 390,000 odd people in the whole country, how big can the riot really get? Id love to go there now, see some beautiful nature plus witness history! Also their currency has gone down big time. Im not sure how that equates to actually buying stuff in the country but im sure it will be a hell of a lot cheaper now then before. over 10 years ago

    Websites for Job search

http://www.careerone.com.au/ , http://www.seek.com.au/ , www.jobs.com.au , www.jobsearch.gov.au are a few. Also on jobsearch.gov.au there is a harvest trail bit specifically for fruitpicking, but its pretty crap. I find that careerone is the best here in Tasmania, but in Victoria it might not be. over 10 years ago

what is considered great local street food in moscow?

They have these hotdog stand sorta things on the streets that have a small range of fatty cheap stuff, your subsequence food-poisoning could make for a good story. I hear you can also eat bear in Russia, which I believe is the only competitor to eating crocodile in terms of manliness. One way for you to get a good story is to jump in a black cab and ask them to take you somewhere where they have good local street food and see where you end up. Black cabs are a comon way of getting around Moscow, just stand on the side of a road, wave your hand out and the first or second car to drive past should stop. If you dont speak Russian then point to where you want to go on the map and point to a number that says 200 rubles. Dont pay any more than 200 unless theyre taking you somewhere far out. If your concerned with safety, I never had any problems doing this and Ive never heard of anyone having any problems. But it is Russia after all, so its always a gamble. If you do find yourself in any problems your not American, and if you have issues with lying about the country you come from I suggest you get over it for the duration of your time in Russia. over 10 years ago

Any advice on good prepaid SIM cards for traveling around Europe and UK?

I'd suggest getting a sim in the country your going to spend the most time in. In my experience whenever you jump a border the rates go through the roof and it will probably cost you money to even recieve a call. Though Im sure there are sims out there that arent like that. If your going to spend most your time in Sweden then "Convik" is a good option, and if in Germany then "Blau" is good, thats about the length of my knowledge. Otherwise theres always good old skype. over 10 years ago

    Any advice in iceland?

I know quite a few people who went there and one of them summed it up with a beatiful quote "imagine getting on a spaceship and going to the moon, well Iceland is about as close as your going to get on earth". Apart from all the amazing natural stuff tho, the capital Reykjavík is apparently an amazing place in itself. A few of my muso mates got lost there chillin out in record shops listening to the massive amount of awesome music that comes from the place. Also if your pocket is feeling heavy its a good place to go out. Also apparently the Icelandic people are the most beautiful people on earth, probably has something to do with their rediculously hetrogenus population where no 2 people are further related than 4th of 5th cousins. over 10 years ago
