    Meet friend in ghans

Hi Jenny, I would advise being cautious about this kind of thing. A common type of scam around the world is for people to instigate long-distance relationships in order to try and get money, information, photos etc. sent to them. Obviously you need to use your own judgement and experience of the person in question, however I'd avoid sending any money via transfer etc. and be thorough in your research before committing to a trip. The website below has some information on these types of scams if you'd like to read through and see if there are any red flags. It's from the Australian Government but I'm sure there will be a variety of articles like this out there which you can refer to when making your decision. https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/types-of-scams/dating-romance If you're after general Ghana safety advice, check out our articles here: https://www.worldnomads.com/travel-safety/western-africa/ghana Hope that helps, Pearse almost 3 years ago

    Hotel guest name

Hi Fakhri, Usually depends on the hotel's policies. It would be a good idea to email them directly with a copy of your reservation and advise that your friend will be arriving earlier than you. Cheers, Pearse about 3 years ago

Travel from Laos to Vietnam overland

Hi Naomi, I haven't done it myself but from experience in Laos (and a quick google search) you should be able to find a shared bus/van from Luang Prabang to Hanoi, perhaps with a mini-van connection between LP and the border bus. This site looks like it's got the schedule: http://www.laos-guide-999.com/laos-vietnam-bus.html#lua Here's a few blogs/sites which go into more detail on how they did it: https://www.travelblog.org/Topics/18252-1.html https://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/forums/asia-south-east-asia-mainland/topics/best-place-for-crossing-laos-to-vietnam-more (3rd answer) Hope that helps! How to turn my Worlds Nomad Blog to a Book?

Hi Anne, Unfortunately there isn't any software I know of which could accomplish this, it might be a matter of manually pulling out the text and having it published with the appropriate images by a printing/publishing agency. If you do find a software which does this please let us know! Cheers, Pearse World Nomads about 3 years ago
