I'm thinking to spen my Christmas Holiday in Lhasa, any suggestion?

Christmas is a great time because you will see lots of pilgrims from other parts of Tibet, it's usually too cold at the nomad area and they came to Lhasa for pilgrimage. Day time is usually quite warm, lesser raining, better chance to see the Everest (if you go there), less tourists, etc. You will probably see a different image of Tibet if you come in the winter time. about 9 years ago

Going to Tibet in Feb 2012

If you have nine days, I would suggest you to stay a few days in Lhasa, then visit Gyantse, Shigatse, Sakya, Tingri, make a day trip to Everest Base Camp and back to Tingri (or stay in EBC if you don't mind doing so...), then head back to Lhasa, it's a total of 9 days (from 18 Feb to 26 Feb). Yes we do organize tours, but I think it may be better if you email me (you can find our contact on our website), I think it may be against the rule here in this forum to promote your business... about 9 years ago

Anyone ever been to Tibet? What tips can you share about this amazing place?

It's usually colder in December, but daytime is warm, and you get less raining (usually no snowing in Lhasa downtown). You will probably feel very cold at night, ask the hotel to give you some electric warm blankets, they can be very useful. about 9 years ago

How many days do you have? I think it would be better to have a trip for around 10 days, so you can spend for a few days in Lhasa for sightseeing and acclimatization, then head to Tsetang and Everest Base Camp. about 9 years ago

What is the best prepaid 3G SIM card (with internet access) for my Android phones in Hong Kong?

3G usually requires a contract, I would suggest you to use the Peoples prepaid card, they charge around HK$ 98 for unlimited usage of GPRS, the speed is reasonably fast. about 9 years ago
