Average time to get through customs at Sydney international airport?

The past couple of times coming in it's been 10 minutes max. Then again, the trip before that took 40 minutes. I've seen so much variation (and heard of the same from friends/family) that I have no clue on an average? Depends on recent events etc. almost 10 years ago

I only have 2 days in New York City. What should I do?

If you're hungry at some point, I'd grab a burger from Shake Shack http://shakeshacknyc.com/ Two locations on the main island, one in Madison Square Park (I'd go to this one) and one in Upper West Side. almost 10 years ago

Does anyone know of any good sushi restaurants in Sydney?

Wasavie has been my favourite by far, extremely fresh fish, cut well, and they do some great other hot Japanese dishes (Pork Belly to die for and great Beef Tataki). It's BYO and there's a bottleshop next door, the chef also prepares the fish from scratch in front of you, depending on where you get to sit. http://www.wasavie.com.au/ One place to avoid: I went to "Sushi E", fresh fish, but cut poorly (noticable sinew), and the hot dishes were so so. almost 10 years ago

Where is a good place to go out in Launceston, Tas during the week?

While somewhat tangental, I'd definitely go to Smokey Joe's Creol Cafe if I was stuck in a Launceston for a while. While not really 'out', he does Duck Fajitas to die for. almost 10 years ago

    best hostel near the city?

Sydney Harbour YHA is pretty good. Nice and new, spectacular views, cheap rooms, just make sure to get the aircon turned on in your room as the rooms were a bit hot when I was there last. http://sydneyharbouryha.com.au/ almost 10 years ago

Are there any good authentic Mexican restaurants in Sydney? Craving it!

Guzman Y Gomez is the only good Mexican I've found in Australia thusfar (I found Aztecas terrible). I've just heard there's a new place in Newtown though that's apparently the "best Mexican good in Sydney", I'll find out more details/eat there and report back. I don't know about "real authentic" Mexican food, my views are just based on spending a few months in California (praise be to Tacos Jalisco). about 10 years ago

    Best affordable sushi in NYC

Thanks for the wise words Simon. Just went to Nobu 57 and had quite the experience. I can't remember what we ordered, but it was essentially opting to have whatever chef Matsuhisa felt like serving. 3 cold dishes, 2 hot dishes, miso, sushi and dessert, quite the journey! Incredible food, quite imaginative and worth every cent. over 10 years ago
