Need suggestions for a minimalistic designed hotel in New York?

When I was in NYC I stayed in the AKA: Central Park which is on West 58th Street, 1 block away from Central Park. The hotel interior was modern and relatively minimalist, the rooms were clean, modern. The price was great compared with other NY hotels, under $200USD a night, I'd stay there again. http://www.hotelaka.com/locations/central_park/default.aspx almost 11 years ago

Good value dining in Hobart CBD

In terms of the better value end of restaurants, Segretto in North Hobart would be high on my list. Great Italian pizza and pasta for less than $20 and it's still a great restaurant. On another Italian note 'La Suprema' is also great value and does fresh hand made ravioli to die for. What is the best calling card plan for dialing the U.S. from Australia?

This isn't very scientific, but I spent about a year of a long distance relationship using OzCall phonecard from GoTalk to call California. I'm not sure how the whole reseller thing works, I'm pretty sure there's 10,000 indistinguishable products designed purely to confuse customers, so it's hard to compare products. The current rate is 0.5c/minute (half a cent) plus 79c flagfall. I tried out another couple of cheaper phonecards (OzCall was a bit more expensive at the time), but there was issues of network contention, and the delay in the phone conversation was noticable and annoying, so I had to switch back. http://www.cardcall.com.au/en/Products/Phonecards/Pages/Ozcall.aspx Rates are available at: http://www.cardcall.com.au/en/Rates/Pages/view.aspx?product=AUCCOZcall almost 11 years ago

What is the biggest sandwich in Sydney?

I contend that there is in fact bigger sandwiches than Little Vienna and "Big Sandwich". It's tucked down an alley, and the queues are long, but the ingredients are fresh and the sandwiches are dangerously large. I believe the place is called "via Abercrombie", and it's on Abercrombie lane, near Bond st. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=via+Abercrombie,+Sydney&sll=-33.906896,150.930176&sspn=5.633709,10.38208&ie=UTF8&hq=via+Abercrombie,&hnear=Sydney+NSW&ll=-33.86377,151.207795&spn=0.011011,0.020278&z=16&iwloc=A almost 11 years ago

how far is it from Launceston to Hobart and how long does it take to drive

200km down through Midlands. Google maps quotes 2 hours 47 minutes for the duration, but I find a good run takes about 2hours 15 to 2hours 30 mintues dependin on traffic. Another 15 if you need a snack/toilet break on the way. almost 11 years ago
