Where is a nice place to stay in Nadi, Fiji for a one night layover? Suggestions on things to do for a day and nice dinner spot.

Just spent my leading and trailing night (flights to Sydney are awkward to line up) from my trip to Fiji in the Denerau Sofitel. It was decent, with the amount of holidaying Australians it felt closer to being in the Gold Coast than it did to being in Fiji, but it served it's purpose. Comfortable with a decent attached restaurant. over 8 years ago

    Good restaurants in Hobart?

Amulet has been closed for 3ish months. Piccolo has taken it's place. As to good restaurants, it all depends on the price range and the type of food you're looking for. Some highlights: - Lebrina. Exceptional modern food, best duck around, pigeon is also great. If you want to get the full experience you're looking at $80+ a head. - Segretto. Great food/value/service and consistent, it's an Italian restaurant in North Hobart, looking at 20ish mains. - Prossers. If Sandy Bay isn't too far, Prossers is probably the best seafood around. They're currently running a degustation menu that's pretty crazy if the idea of 7 courses doesn't scare you off. http://www.prossersonthebeach.com/degustation over 10 years ago

What is cheapest/best way for a family of 4 to get to Beecroft from Sydney airport tom @ 9am

A hard question! Domestic terminal to Beecroft costs $17.20 for an adult, or $11.10 for child student. This comes out at $56.60 for a typical family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids), and taking around an hour with a transfer between trains at Central. The downside is you've got to drag your bags around between trains. With a cab, you're probably looking at $90+ (possibly worse at 9am), but you can just get in the cab and not have to worry about bags/transfers. It's a hard call, but I'd probably catch the train. While a bit inconvenient you won't have to worry about traffic, and the cost is fixed and cheaper. You don't have to worry about Sydney traffic either. over 9 years ago

medication have to be in its original packaging to travel to usa

My doctor originally told me that I needed to have the prescription labeling & original packaging when I travelled into the USA (with just some anti-biotics). Customs never really looked or cared though. I'd generally err on the paranoid side though if it's important medication though and just break it up after you get there. I wouldn't want to have to try and get replacements upon arrival if they confiscated them. about 9 years ago

Where is a good place to go out in Launceston, Tas during the week?

While somewhat tangental, I'd definitely go to Smokey Joe's Creol Cafe if I was stuck in a Launceston for a while. While not really 'out', he does Duck Fajitas to die for. almost 10 years ago

Average time to get through customs at Sydney international airport?

The past couple of times coming in it's been 10 minutes max. Then again, the trip before that took 40 minutes. I've seen so much variation (and heard of the same from friends/family) that I have no clue on an average? Depends on recent events etc. over 9 years ago
