If i buy an incurance for 4 months but i finish my travel after 2 months. can i get the money back?

Hi Linn, Katrina from WorldNomads.com here. If you finish your trip early, we don't currently give a refund on the unused part of your insurance, unless you cancel it within the cooling off/free look period (which is explained the the full description of cover/policy wording). If you think you might only travel for 2 months, then I suggest you buy a 2 month plan, and then you can extend your trip and buy more cover online through your World Nomads membership while travelling (you'll even get a 5% member discount if you do this). If you have any other insurance related questions, please ask our customer services team direct - http://worldnomads.com/contactus.aspx as they can go into detail on coverage, which will depend on your country of residence. My iphone was stolen. I will be home in 9 days, is it ok if I do all the paper work once I'm home?

Hello Sarah, Katrina from WorldNomads.com here. Yes, it's ok to wait until you've returned home to gather the paperwork. However, I do suggest you advise your phone provider now to advise them your phone's been stolen as you may be liable for phone calls made after it's stolen (and the insurance policy doesn't cover the cost of these calls). You can ask questions of your claims manager by logging into your WorldNomads.com membership. Please do use this messaging service to protect your privacy. We try to only use the Ask A Nomad service for general travel questions, which are answered by our travel community. How do I get travel insurance that will repatriate me home to the UK, even though I temporarily live in Turkey?

Hello Jenifer, Katrina from WorldNomads.com here. If you want to be repatriated to your respective countries, I assume you mean your country of citizenship? So if you are a UK citizen and your husband is an Australian citizen then, if you choose one of our plans, there no specific need to be a resident of that country at the time you buy the policy or when you travel. If it's medically required that you need to be repatriated, the insurer will want to send you back to the country where you'll have access to long term medical care (not reciprocal health) and unrestricted right of entry into that country. You can buy while travelling online - you just have to buy 2 separate policies and create 2 memberships. Each plan will have specific terms and conditions, limits and exclusions, so please do read the policy wording carefully to make sure the plan you choose if right for each of you. If you have specific questions about your policy, please contact our customer service team: http://worldnomads.com/contactus.aspx Safe sailing! almost 7 years ago

Is CUBA covered with insurance policy from worldNomads ?

Hello Erdoan, Katrina from World Nomads here. If you're a Canadian or USA residents/citizen, then our plans unfortunately can not cover you to go to Cuba. For residents of other countries, as long as it's safe to go there, and there are no government warnings advising you against travel to, or in particular parts of Cuba, you can stay covered on the travel insurance plans we offer. If you have a specific question about the plans or coverage, please contact our customer service team - http://worldnomads.com/contactus.aspx Safe travels almost 7 years ago

    Extreme sports speedriding, speedflying/

Hi Konstantin, Katrina from WorldNomads.com here. I assume you're asking about travel insurance coverage for speedflying? Our plans currently exclude speedflying/speedriding as our underwriters just wont cover it. You can do this if you wish and still travel on one of our plans, but you wont be covered if you're injured doing this activity. Safe travels, almost 7 years ago

Is Guam considered part of the US for travel insurance purposes? Do I need insurance that includes travel to the US?

Hi Michelle, Katrina from WorldNomads.com here. Technically and politically you are right, Guam is considered a US territory/associated state. However, from an insurance perspective it will depend on the insurance provider you choose. Each insurer may have different definitions of the countries covered under their plans, so please do read the policy wording carefully. The plans we offer for Australian, NZ, Irish and UK residents will allow you to travel to Guam on a policy where you've chosen, "worldwide excluding USA". Of course, if you're planning to step foot in the USA (even just in transit), then you'll have to choose the region including the USA. If you have any specific questions about the plans we offer through WorldNomads.com, please let our customer service team know - http://worldnomads.com/contactus.aspx Safe travels, almost 7 years ago
