Best place to rent in/near Nashville

around the college would be where you would probably find a lot of places I would think. Check if the college has an online apartment listing site over 8 years ago

What is the best hotel to stay at in nashville? We don't care if we are near the airport.

The Hermitage is apparently Nashville's only 5 start place. Was gifted a few nights there a few years ago and it was great! If you want to spend for the luxury, it's a good place. Opryland Hotel is also swanky. All depends on what you want to do and where you want to go. I used to work with a Nashville Based company. We had meetings at the Renaissance Hotel, downtown, which is a Marriott property if you collect points. Marriott Rewards members save 25% at their restaurants and on room service. If you want to stay outside of downtown, close to the airport is one of my favourites, the Double Tree Airport on Atrium Way. Price about $100, the traditional cookie at check-in, decent pool, great breakfast and every room is a suite. Across the street from that is the Club Hotel, where you can get a room about $65 or more. It's been a while since I was there. Their rooms are decent and breakfast is ok but Doubletree feels like luxury for cheap. If you have a car, lots of places by Elm Hill Pike and Atrium Way, they are close to airport but also close to Opryland, though I'm not sure if you want downtown or not. Enjoy Nashville, it's a cool city. Definitely check out the Grand Ole Opry and Country Music Hall of Fame, even if you don't like country. The Parthenon is good and if you're there during hockey season, a ticket to the Predators game is worth it. By Opryland is also the General Jackson dinner cruise and show. A nice night out. Have fun! over 8 years ago

Hey Guys, im going to Dubai with My Girlfriend in a few days im really worried we will be grilled at the airport??

What country are you coming from? Canadians need a visa for Dubai but US citizen don't. I don't think they are going to care if you are married or not. We were in Dubai in April and don't recall anything about immigration that was a problem. If you have a booked flight out of town and a hotel reservation or email confirmation from a friend of where you're staying, you shouldn't have a problem. over 8 years ago

What should the average price of a taxi from ataturk airport to sultanahmet be??

sas is correct. If you have more bags than you wish to haul on the subway, then a taxi is best. We were there last month and took the subway perfectly fine. When you switch from the tram to the train at the station saw mentions, you are at the beginning of the line and will be able to ride the tram right to Sultanhamet. We also recommend getting Istanbulkart. It will cost you 7 TL but you get 6 back when you return it. It will save you 12.5% each time you use it on fares and when you transfer the transfer cost is only 1 TL instead of the full 2 over 8 years ago

Check out Granville Island in Vancouver. You will see some crafts and organic market stuff, plus from there you can take a small mini water-taxi that will take you to other points in the area over 8 years ago

What are the best sights in Istanbul?

Just spent 5 days there! Blue Mosque is free, just go during non-prayer hours and dress respectfully. Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Museum & Harem are a must for most people. There is a 72 hour Museum Card that will give you front of line access to those sites and a few others and discounts on the gift shops too. There are other museums included with the card as well to make it better value. It was 72 TL for the card. We also saw the Chora Museum, but there are about 4 others. Get an Istanbulkart from a shop next to the train or tram lines. You will save lots of money on the transit options in the city and you get 6 TL back when you return the card. If interested in a hamam, Turkish bath, go to the Asian side. The European side charges major tourist rates like 30 euros or more each. We went to Cinili Hamam, which is from 1640, and paid 30 euros for two people for the bath with massage. over 8 years ago

I'd like to travel from Vancouver to Toronto, canada by car... Anyone has any advice? Where can I rent a mini van? Where should we go?

I've done that drive about a dozen times and taken a few different routes. It all depends on how much you want to see and how fast you want to go. If you just want to drive, I've done it in 72 hours and slept each night in a hotel. It is faster to actually go down to Seattle and take the I90 east towards Chicago and enter Ontario at Windsor or Sarnia. If you have the time and want to space it out and do some sight seeing, you could easily take a week or more. The above answer is pretty good. There are some unique things along the #1 Highway from Vancouver to Alberta too. - Revelstoke is a quaint little town and about half way between Vancouver and Calgary. We've stayed there at times if we didn't want to rush the trip - along the highway there is also a small town where the last spike of the Canadian railways was laid. I fforget the name of the village now but you can google it. You can see it for 10-15 minutes and move on. Good for a pit stop - if you wish to take a little detour, last fall we came from Red Deer to Vancouver by going west from Red Deer past Rocky Mountain House and driving south towards Lake Louise, there is some beautiful mountain scenery plus a glacier fed lake where the water is blue like you see in the Caribbean - there isn't much to see in Saskatchewan, but I can recommend a nice little b&b in Swift Current if you wish - Winnipeg has the Canadian mint, a cool place to check out. They not only make Canadian coins but also make for 70 other countries in the world, including US - if traveling only in Canada, the drive from Winnipeg to Toronto is about 20 or more hours of driving. Going from a Thunder Bay to Sault Ste. Marie is 7 hours lane just going around Lake Superior. If you cut south at that point and go through the States to Sault Ste Marie, you can save time and even pass through the town of Christmas, Michigan - in Subdury you can see the Big Nickel. When we were there in the fall, the museum was closed unfortunately. I can share more tips if you wish. Just fire an email to me at nomads@iPadNomads.com over 8 years ago
