Can someone recommend a good hotel in Bangkok?

Sivalai Place was a really good place to stay in Bangkok. http://www.sivalaiplace.com The staff are really friendly and will do anything to help you. They have a lovley swimming pool (25 m). There is also an internet cafe there. The place is very safe, clean and tidy. Towles are provided. Air conditioning was brill. There is a fridge in the room which is always a bonus when it's so hot and when getting back to you room there always an ice cold drink waiting. It was awesome to have a huge appartment (big TV, balcony with view on the skyline, really cheap Mini-Bar) for your own. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the restaurant very good (meals only 50-80Baht). Even so it is not in the center, you can walk (10-15min) to Wat Arun and the river taxis. If i was to go back to Bangkok this would be the place to stay. over 11 years ago

What is the best way to get to the tiger temple from Bangkok? train, bus or taxi?

You can take a bus to Kanchanaburi from the Southern Bus Terminal (Bangkok) or the travel agency at Khaosan Road. I went to the Tiger Temple last 3 month and I booked with the tour desk at my hotel (Sivalai Place). It was sooo cheap package. Floating Market, River Kwae and Tiger Temple. Just 850 Bht including lunch and pick up service. Enjoy!!! over 11 years ago
