Where is the best place to shopping in Hong Kong?

The places mentioned above are great for bargains but for a touch of class & to escape the stifling heat or winter chill, head to shopping malls, such as the IFC in Central iSquare in Tsim Sha Tsui or Langham Place in Mong Kok. You will be spoilt for choice for clothes & food! If you head to the above MTR stations, follow the signs to the centers. For factory outlets, go to Citygate in Tung Chung, the same MTR stop as the famous Big Buddha. You'll kill two birds with one stone. Happy shopping! ;) about 7 years ago

What is not to be missed on the vietnam coast?

I would highly recommend Hoi An, a quaint town famous for their tailors & seamstresses but also a beach destination. You can do this town budget or five star. I stayed in a small hotel with a pool in a double room in July '12 for US$12 per night. There is also the Nam Hai Resort where a 5 bedroom villa start from US$3000 per night. I loved the old town by the river, streets brimming with authentic Vietnamese stalls, restaurants and enough stores to keep you clothed for every occasion and enough bars to entertained. During the day, there is the local markets where you will be tugged by smiling ladies urging you to taste their exotic fruits. You will walk away with a armful of fruit if you're not the assertive type. (I speak from experience...) I thought Hoi An was a good blend of old & new, city & smalltown plus some great food stirred in and you'll enjoy at least 3-4 days there. Well, that's how long your suit will take to make anyway! Travelling to Shanghai for a few months, anything I should know regarding health, street food, water?

Shanghai is a very modern city. Most restaurants are hygienic and food poisoning is not a concern. You can brush your teeth with tap water but do drink bottled water, it is cheap and easy to find. As for street food, for a western stomach, it is not recommended. But if you do want to try, be wary of meats that have been cooked and left out to display. Vegetables are less likely to be contaminated, such as tofu or eggplant skewers. Make sure you eat fruits with skin that you can peel, like oranges or bananas, so avoid apples, pears etc. unless you peel them. In saying all of the above, Shanghai really is world-class when it comes to its cuisine and if you happen to be eating at mostly restaurants you can be fairly certain that you are safe. On a side note, I highly recommend having pre-dinner drinks in Bar Level 87 in the Park Hyatt in the Shanghai World Financial Centre a.k.a the famous Bottle Opener Building -- for some spectacular views of the sunset. Reasonably priced hotel Seoul for a family. Any suggestions? Ideas?

Check out airbnb.com I stayed in a studio apartment in Itaewon. It will be better than staying in a hotel, you will have all the comforts of home but in a foreign location. Safe travels. :) about 7 years ago

Where are the famous place in Seoul? Please recommend a good budget hotel for stay.

I used airbnb.com to stay in a studio apartment in Itaewon. Most of the time, for the same price as a private ensuite room in a hostel you can get a room in a well located apartment without all the noise. I highly recommend it. I used it in other cities as well and it has saved me money and sanity! Safe travels! :) about 7 years ago

When going on a Viking cruise to china will I experience primitive toilets??

Yes, you will. I travelled extensively in China in 2011 both Budget and 5 Star, and even in a shopping centre in Chengdu housing international luxury labels, Prada and Louis Vuitton had poorly maintained squat toilets. Always expect squat toilets in China. Always bring tissues and hand sanitisers. about 7 years ago

Duangjitt vs. Novotel hotel in Phuket, which is better?

I stayed at the Novetel and found the location to be excellent, it's on the southern end of Patong and allows you walking distance to the main strip of Patong markets, restaurants and shopping. I only ate at the hotel at breakfast because there was so much choice in close proximity. But it was the usual fare and was fresh and tasty. The service was what you expect and didn't disappoint. The staff spoke good English and provided what you needed, always smiling. Safe travels! :) about 7 years ago
