    Where to Rent a car

There are many companies that offer rental cars. Companies like Budget and Avis have desks at the airport. Otherwise when you arrive at your accommodation, the staff will certainly help you with something more local. Good luck! :) about 7 years ago

I am visiting Dalian next week, what would be the place I should go? Would it be easy and time worthy to have a trip to Beijing?

Yes, do visit Beijing! If not for the sights, then do it for the food! about 7 years ago

Book "night trains" in Beijing or in advance from Europe?

Hope this is not too late. But it is always cheaper to book in China for domestic travel. In China, train tickets go on sale 10 days before departure date and it is usually more expensive to book flights ahead of time. In order to secure a sleeper, either a hard or soft, you can always ask your hotel/hostel to book for your in advance. Most are happy to do so with a deposit. about 7 years ago

We are traveling to Beijing on Aug. 1 to begins 3 week tour including 10 day cruise. Is traveling advisable now with the flooding?

Without knowing the details of your trip it is hard to say. I suggest contacting the tour company before you go and making sure your travel insurance covers a cancellation of tours due to natural disasters and the like. From reports I have read, it has mainly affected farmland areas on the outskirts of Beijing. The problem appears to be due to drainage and inadequate infrastructure in a flood prone region. So, I am making an educated guess that a cruise on a river would not be affected by this incident. Hope your travels goes as planned. :) about 7 years ago

I am travelling to Hong Kong for 4 days. What is the best short term data plan for ipad2 in Hong Kong?

If you are travelling for such a short time, it may be best to look out for wifi hotspots. Starbucks offers 30mins free wifi with purchase. Most hotels and even hostels in Chungking Mansions offers complimentary wifi when you are a guest. If you have your heart set on using the 3G network on your iPad, 3 offers an iPad Starter Kit for 3G and wifi for HK$198 which is a rechargeable SIM. There is a monthly usage charge of HK$18 that will eventually eat up all the credit if you do not use it. You can recharge at any 7-11 store and they're everywhere! Check out: http://www.three.com.hk/website/appmanager/three/home?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=P200470391219567710594&lang=eng&pageid=61I001 Another option is if you have an iPhone 4 or above, to get a prepaid SIM from any 7-11 store and use the personal hotspot option with your iPad. Hope that helps. Enjoy HK! :) about 7 years ago

Im going to Hong Kong, Malaysia (Penang & Kuala Lumpur), and Singapore. Any suggestions for Hostels or places to visit??

If your heart is set on staying in a hostel, in HK, I recommend Hello Inn in Mirador Mansions. You have to book at least 2 months ahead, the owner is awesome and the facilities are modern and really an efficient use of what little space most hostels have. about 7 years ago
