An Aussie living in Singapore since the end of 2007. I'm currently managing Yahoo! Travel in Southeast Asia. I've lived and studied in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and speak Bahasa Indonesia. Living in Singapore gives me a great opportunity to explore Southeast Asia and indulge in its great food!

I found an awesome cooking school in Ko Samui a couple of years back. Great facilities, excellent teachers and the food was amazing. They even have a mailing list with new recipes being sent out on a regular basis. The place to go is Samui Institute of Thai Culinary Arts and their website is http://www.sitca.net/ over 8 years ago
I'd also recommend Menara Tower which is the telecommunications tower that looks down on the city. There's great street food at Jalan Alor in Bukit Bintang - area is also good for reflexology. The Bangsar area has some cool bars, cafes and restaurants. over 8 years ago
