    Sea cruise from Genoa

I am not saying it's impossible, but it is a lot of traveling in a short amount of time. If your up to it I would say do it! I just spent a semester in Italy and I would recommend seeing all of those places. I would personally do 2 day in Florence, 2 days in Venice, and the rest of the time in Genoa. I hope this helps! about 5 years ago

Taking a train from Rome to Venice in May, staying in Maestre. Does the Trenitalia make a stop at Maestre or will we have to go to St Lucia

There is a station in Maestre. Just make sure when you take the train that if there are transfers be prepared to run across a train station because it is very common for trains in Italy to run late! about 5 years ago

Where are some areas of Rome to avoid? I'm trying to find a compromise between cheaper hotels and dangerous areas.

STAY AWAY FROM THE ROMA TERMINI TRAIN STATION AREA! It was very sketchy at night and during the day. about 5 years ago

Recommendations for an inexpensive but nice place to stay in Venice away from all the tourists and noise.

I just finished a study abroad in Italy and I think the best place to stay in Venice was in the accademia district of Venice. It was very quiet and it is where many locals live. It is very close to San Marcos but far enough away from the tourists. We used the AirBnB website and rented an apartment. about 5 years ago

    Where is Cinque Terre?

Hi, Cinque Terre is a national park in Italy. I am not sure how you are traveling there, but the most efficient way I believe to get there is by train. These are the five cities that make up Cinque: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. Trains run right through all of these places, which makes it easy to jump from one city to the next. I recommend doing some research and start with the city you want to go to first beacuse I have no idea of your timeline while in Cinque, and there is a lot to see. Be prepared its very hilly so wear some comfortable walking shoes and pack light. There are many beautful places to stay in Cinque Terre, I would use the hostel world website or app to find a great place to stay. That website has a lot of reviews and pictures to aid you in deciding where to stay. I hope this helps. I just studied in Italy for a semester. about 5 years ago
