Anyone have good tips on restaurants in venice?

Generally you will be ripped off. One that I CAN recommend, where you will get a fair price is along Fondamenta San Giobbe, on the north side of the island. But just generally, be careful of what they put on the table, bread is not always free. Also, check the service charge (coperto) before you go in. Some places charge exorbitant amounts! Also, do not eat along the Grand Canal or on St. Marks Square, the price there is usually 2 or 3 times normal Venice prices which are expensive to begin with! almost 8 years ago

Hi, Can anyone tell me of a good shoe maker in Florence? Or where to buy a custom made leather jacket? Thank you :)

Just head to the leather markets. All the vendors there are great. There are a few shoe stores where which would be able to make custom shoes for you there too. Once you have a walk around you will get a feel for which shops are reliable and value for money. almost 8 years ago

What are the must see sights in Krakow Poland?

Eat - There is a dumpling house on the east side of town which is a must see. Drink - A really quirky bar is the Jazzrock caffe. You won't ever forget it! And if you have time, make the day trip to Auschwitz 1 and 2 (birkenau) almost 8 years ago

Traveling from Venice going to interlaken, by train which is the best way to go.

I always use the Deutsche Bahn for European trains and according to the bahn.de site, the fastest route from Venice to Interlaken is via Milan and Spitz. It also involves the fewest changes (http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query2.exe/en?ld=9645&seqnr=3&ident=7p.01956445.1323638310&rt=1&rememberSortType=minDeparture&OK#focus) almost 8 years ago

What are the top 5 things to see in Bruges?

To be honest, there aren't many things to do, specifically, in Bruges. For me, the magic of the place is just wandering around the streets, eating chocolate and waffles. almost 8 years ago

What are your top tips on surviving San Fermín?

Sleep during the afternoon (11am-5pm) When you run, watch out for the locals and the other runners. They will push you over or in the bulls path. And don't run drunk. Get to the town by 6:30am if you want good spots to watch the run. Have one morning on the street and have one morning in the stadium. Have your white and red clothes! Have sangria! almost 8 years ago

I am going to Switzerland this coming week. What are the top 5 places to visit, to eat and to do?

    1. The Jungfraujoch is amazing. The train ride is stunning. 2. Zurich is beautiful. Take a dip in the Zugsee. Go up to the top of the Cathedral. The views of the city are lovely. 3. The cable cart at Mount Pilaus near Luscern is a lot of fun. There is an adventure activity park there and the worlds steepest train track. almost 8 years ago
