What is new Zealand like in the winter

And it depends on what you like. There's some fantastic snow on the South Island (and some on the North too). I've spent a week snowboarding around Queenstown and had a ball. Last year I spent a week on the North Is in a campervan, mid-July. Also great, just chilly. Sitting in a hot Spring in Rotorua late at night looking at the stars is amazing! over 6 years ago

What is blood made of? And is it eatable?

Hi Cassidy, I'm no biologist and can't answer your first question. But can tell you that it's definitely edible. The English have Black Pudding, the Spanish have Morcilla; both 'blood suasage' types I've eaten. They were tasty with a slightly soft unusual texture. Looking here : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_pudding - it turns out that it's common all across the world. over 6 years ago

What is the weather like at Valla Beach NSW Australia in July

Mid-June to Mid-July is smack bang in the middle of winter. Averages lows of about 11/12 degrees C and highs of about 18/19 C. Sometimes you'll get bright sunny crisp winter days and others will be cold, windy and rainy. You can get weather forecasts for Nambucca Heads which is a nearby town: General climate info: http://www.visitnsw.com/destinations/north-coast/coffs-harbour-area/nambucca-heads/weather Specific Weather forecasts: http://www.weatherzone.com.au/nsw/mid-north-coast/nambucca-heads over 6 years ago

Staying in Sydney for 4 Months (Working) - Where To Stay?

You could also consider the option of long term stays in a hostel/guest house like http://www.alfredpark.com.au/ which is near the City and offers Twin rooms or 4 bed rooms with own bathrooms. I'm sure you could cut a deal on the rates for stays of several months. As Connor says above, it's generally cheaper further out of town - but make sure you check out the cost of trains/buses!!. A weekly bus ticket can cost about $50 (see: http://www.131500.com.au/tickets/fares/fares), not to mention the occaisonal cab-fare when you're out late. You could probably walk everywhere if you were close to the CBD. A standard lease here in Oz is 12 months and you must pay a bond up front which is equivalent to 4 weeks rent - these don't make it easy for travellers who are trying to earn/save money. Not to mention that most rental houses in Oz are unfurnished. Also, it'll be hard to convince an agent to rent to you without any proof of an income. Good luck! over 6 years ago

What's the best way to travel New Zealand?

Hi Ev, there's already been loads written about hiring Campers in NZ - use the search or Browse NZ on the iPad app to skim through. No doubt, Campers are very popular in NZ and there's a lot of tourism infrastructure to cater to them. I've done two camper trips and will certainly do it again in the future. If not a camper, rent a car. The landscape and countryside is so amazing you need to be able to get to the best - and most remote - places at your own pace. over 6 years ago
