Clean, kid-friendly hostel in Brisbane, preferably CBD?

The only place that is good, and the newest, and located in the central Central Business District (without being a fire hazard) is http://www.bunkbrisbane.com.au/. Or check out www.wotif.com.au just before you arrive and you can get a 3 - 5 star hotel for a similar price. over 11 years ago

I'm going to be in San Francisco for one night and one day. Any recommendations for must sees in that short of time?

If you are staying centrally you should just explore the Embarcadero Center (http://www.embarcaderocenter.com/ec/) on Market Street for breakfast, then jump on a cable car down to Fisherman's Wharf. While you are there you can take the ferry to Alcatraz (the prison). You must do this. I would recommend booking the Alcatraz ferry before you leave otherwise you might miss out on the day. At Fisherman's Wharf there is a great bakery/restaurant called the Boudin Bakery (http://www.boudinbakery.com/), it's a great place for lunch or dinner overlooking Alcatraz. If you have time you can take a bus around to see the Golden Gate, but it's just a bridge. about 11 years ago
